Disneyland!

November was a busy month for us! We went to California for Thanksgiving & went to Disneyland! Ellie was thrilled to go for the first time & we loved taking her! The excitement & wonder in her eyes was contagious! And we found ourselves understanding why it's termed The Happiest Place on Earth...

She first met Dale. She was so excited.

She couldn't believe she was finally seeing the Castle in real life!
Not sure why but she wanted to go on the tea cups first. :) Of course, ours had to be the purple one!


She absolutely loved meeting the princesses. The look of awe & amazement in her eyes made Mommy cry & Daddy said "That made the sacrifice worth it!" She now says Belle is her favorite princess! Sorry, Cinderella, we didn't get to meet you this time.

She loved the rides! She had fun being a "crazy women driver" on Autopia. She took in all the sights & sound of It's A Small World with wonder & excitement, pointing out one thing after another. Splash Mountain & Big Thunder Mountain Railroad created mixed emotions. She claims Splash Mountain was her favorite ride but she worried & screamed through it all! After Big Thunder she exclaimed, "I hated that ride! But it was fun." That came to be the quote of the day!

We had so much fun with family. We were so glad to go with Denali, Torrey & Grandma Sue. We even got to see Nate, Whit, & their girls there too!

Ellie loved the parade & seeing all the characters. She was mesmerized by the fireworks & excited when it started snowing! She wanted to buy every souvenir possible but finally narrowed it down! She decided she was done riding rides in the evening & just wanted to "look for souvenirs." She especially loves her Princess Minnie hat.

Just as we were leaving we got to see Mickey & Minnie-- Our night was complete!

And we had one tired girl in the end! She said, "It feels like it's been 2 days but we just have the same clothes on."
