Professional Campers!

We went camping for the first time a couple weekends ago.  We went with our friends Ron & Rachel and their daughter Haley. We had tons of fun--- especially during the days :)

It's a good thing we have a big car, because it was full!
Wade brought one of his hammocks that we'd never used because we don't have a yard for it.  It was a nice relaxing place to sit and enjoy the nature, unless Ellie was in it with you.  The kids had a great time playing in it!

The kids were happy playing in the dirt.  They loved playing with rocks & the buckets and shovels we brought them.
I love this one!  It's just so perfect!  We went on a hike to Stewart Falls on Saturday.  This was getting ready to go.
Ellie loved the backpack.  Wade 'loved' how heavy she was. And I was happy to just carry the water pack.  Ellie loved being able to just relax and look around while we climbed mountains!  The hike is about 4 miles but to my out-of-shape butt it felt like 14!
The waterfall was pretty-- it was worth it!  The falls  were really impressive that close up. A little sliver of moon was visible right over the top of the falls.  It made for an awesome picture.  Sue- you would have loved it!  We really needed you with your camera to capture it & do it justice.

Just a couple cute pics taken at our 6:30 am stroll to Theater in the Pines so we wouldn't wake up everyone in the whole campground. Our child doesn't know how to whisper & was very excited about everything!

Needless to say, our first time camping trip was fun!  I purposely chose not to share all the 'fun' we had in the nights or maybe I just didn't want to think about it again. We can just say the first night was terrible but we're quick learners and were prepared the second night.  Thanks to Benedryl! Now if we can just work out the kinks  and get more sleep! We look forward to trying it again on the beach in California with Erin & Shane's family in a couple weeks.
